I have never seen Al so relaxed as we spent time with Carole and the grandchildren. Thanks to carole for her hospitality and to Al’s good sense for not running for office again.
I made cinnamon biscuits for breakfast. We spent the day taking down Christmas decorations and then met Mike for dinner and a movie- True Grit.
A wonderful day- a great dinner- 11 of us in all. Stephen called from Vancouver. Wish he were here!
See you soon, Stephen!
Tortieres are ready to go into the oven for tonight. Pies are baking, cookies are ready to go into the oven- all with Julia’s help. Groceries are here for tomorrow’s Christmas dinner; the 22 pound turkey has been transferred from Don’s meat market to our cooler (since there is no fridge space). We’ll have four extra for dinner tomorrow- eleven in all.
We’ve made our usual trek to Kentfield Kids and bought all the size 10 stuff- great bargains. Now all we need is Santa Claus, and like Wayne Rostad, I believe in Santa Claus.
We have seven people and a dog at the condo again this year for our second Christmas at the condo. Merry Christmas everyone!
